DocuAgree vs. Sprout Studio: Which Should You Use?
Sprout Studio is a studio-management platform built specifically for photographers — payment collection, client galleries, scheduling, and automated workflows are included on every tier, not gated behind a higher plan the way some competitors do it. DocuAgree is a $4.99/month tool that does contracts and e-signature and nothing else. If Sprout's gallery-and-workflow toolkit is what your business actually runs on, DocuAgree isn't a substitute for any of it.
Where Sprout Studio genuinely wins
- Payment collection and invoicing — the big one. Sprout Studio takes no commission itself and connects to Stripe, PayPal, or Square to collect client payments directly — Stripe's own standard rate (2.9%+30¢) is typical if you use it. DocuAgree does not collect payment at all — anyone switching expecting to invoice through it will be misled.
- Client questionnaires and forms. Included on every tier, though contact-form count is capped at 1 on Lite/Basic and unlimited on Pro/Unlimited.
- Scheduling — included on every tier, no exceptions. Dubsado keeps scheduling to its Premier tier and HoneyBook's Starter tier gets only a limited version; Sprout includes it in full from its cheapest paid tier.
- Lead and client management, included on every tier, plus gallery delivery and storage built for handing off finished images — 50GB on the cheapest tier, scaling to unlimited.
- Automated workflows and email marketing — also included at every tier, not reserved for a higher plan. This is Sprout's most distinctive trait among the three CRMs compared here: nothing meaningful is held back at the entry price.

Where DocuAgree is better — for the right photographer
If contracts and signatures are genuinely all you need, DocuAgree's case is the same as against any full studio CRM: $4.99/month flat, no annual commitment, and a pause option for the off-season instead of paying through it. Sprout Studio's cheapest tier is still roughly four times DocuAgree's price for a toolkit — galleries, storage, scheduling — that goes unused if all you're actually doing is getting a contract signed.
Who should stay on Sprout Studio
Anyone relying on Sprout for payment collection, gallery delivery, scheduling, or its built-in automation and email marketing should stay put — switching to DocuAgree for contracts alone means losing the entire rest of the toolkit, including the gallery-delivery workflow many photographers pick Sprout for in the first place.
If you're just here for the contract
A print and album order form is an itemized order document for prints, albums, and other physical products — line items, pricing, a production timeline, and a return policy — built to be sent and approved before a custom order goes into production.
