The E-Signature Pricing Index

Updated October 22, 2026. Re-verified quarterly — see the methodology and changelog below.

Entry-level pricing across 12 e-signature and proposal tools, checked directly against each vendor's own public pricing page on September 22, 2026, plus DocuAgree presented exactly as neutrally as every other row — including where a competitor genuinely beats DocuAgree on price or flexibility. Two vendors (PandaDoc, signNow) blocked automated access to their own pricing page during this check; those two rows are cross-referenced from multiple independent third-party pricing trackers instead of a direct fetch, and are flagged below.

The table

Tool Entry price, billed monthly Entry price, billed annually (per mo) What the entry tier caps Free tier? Annual commitment for the low price?
DocuAgree $4.99/mo, flat, one plan Same — no annual discount because there's no annual plan Nothing — unlimited sends and signers at any account First 3 documents free, no card No — month-to-month, pause anytime
DocuSign $15/mo (Personal) $11/mo billed monthly, or $10/mo billed upfront (12-month plan) 1 user, 5 envelopes/mo No — 30-day money-back guarantee on annual plans, no trial No — month-to-month available at $15; the lower rates need a 12-month plan
PandaDoc $35/user/mo (Starter) $19/user/mo Unlimited documents created in the app; API/automation documents use paid usage credits Yes — 5 documents/mo, up to 5 templates Yes, for the discounted annual rate
Adobe Acrobat Sign No standalone e-signature plan — bundled into Acrobat. Individuals: $24.99/mo month-to-month (Standard) $14.99/mo (Standard, annual plan); team licenses from $16.99/mo, annual only Not publicly stated No — trial on Pro and Studio only For the lower rate, yes — cancelling an annual plan after 14 days costs half the remaining commitment
Dropbox Sign $15/mo (Essentials, 1 user) $15/mo ($180/yr) — the page sometimes shows a first-year coupon Unlimited signature requests; up to 5 templates Yes — 3 signature requests every 30 days No — same rate either way

Proposify $49/user/mo (Build) $39/user/mo Unclear — pricing page lists unlimited sends, but still shows an older 10 sends/mo + $0.50 overage table under the previous plan names No — 14-day trial Yes, for the discounted rate

Where DocuAgree isn't the cheapest, or isn't the most flexible

Stated plainly, the way the rest of this page is: GoSign is flat-rate and unlimited-user at $9/month — a few dollars more than DocuAgree's $4.99 — and if you need more than one person logging in, that's a real advantage DocuAgree doesn't currently match — DocuAgree is built for one operator per account. signNow is $8/month billed annually for unlimited users, which beats DocuAgree for a team that sends around 100 documents a year or fewer. GoSign, PandaDoc, Zoho Sign, Dropbox Sign, and SignWell all have genuine recurring free tiers (3 to 10 documents a month) with no card required, the same as DocuAgree's first-3-documents offer, so if a handful of documents a month is genuinely all you need long-term, one of those free tiers may cost nothing indefinitely where DocuAgree eventually asks for a card. Zoho Sign's paid entry tier ($10–12/user/month) is roughly twice DocuAgree's price, but includes 25 envelopes/user/month with multi-user support DocuAgree doesn't offer. None of that changes what DocuAgree is actually built for — a single operator who wants one flat, predictable, no-annual-contract price — but it's not the cheapest or most flexible option on every axis, and a page whose whole value is being trustworthy shouldn't pretend otherwise.

Methodology

Keeping this current

Pricing changes, and a stale pricing index is worse than no pricing index at all — it becomes something people cite to show this page is wrong. Every figure above is re-verified quarterly at minimum, with the date at the top of this page and dateModified in this page's own schema kept current, and every change logged below rather than silently edited in place.

Changelog
